Why China

Why thousands of international patients choose China every year.

From cost savings to cutting-edge technology — here's what makes China a world-class medical destination.

💰

50–80% Cost Savings

Even without insurance, your total cost — including flights and accommodation — is often less than just the co-pay back home. Public hospital fees are government-regulated and transparent.

No Wait Lists

While NHS patients wait 6–18 months and Canadians wait 27+ weeks for specialist care, we can arrange your consultation in days and surgery within 1–4 weeks.

🏥

World-Class Equipment

Same Da Vinci surgical robots, Zeiss lasers, and Siemens MRI machines used in top Western hospitals. Grade-A tertiary hospitals with internationally accredited facilities.

🌿

Unique TCM + Western Medicine

Only China offers genuine Traditional Chinese Medicine integrated with modern Western medicine — a powerful combination for recovery, pain management, and chronic conditions.

Same-Day Diagnostics

Blood tests, CT scans, and MRIs are often completed and reported within hours — not weeks. No GP gatekeeping: see a specialist directly, no referral needed.

👨‍⚕️

High-Volume Expertise

Chinese surgeons in top hospitals perform 5–10× more procedures annually than their Western counterparts. More cases = sharper skills and better outcomes for you.

FAQ

The questions everyone asks first.

Do I need a medical visa?
For short treatments or consultations, the 240-hour (10-day) transit visa-free policy covers travelers from 54 eligible countries — including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and most of Europe. For stays beyond 10 days or for any surgical care, a tourist visa (L-visa) is sufficient — there is no separate "medical visa" required. For extended recovery or companion stays, an S2 short-term private visit visa may apply. We'll confirm your specific visa requirements during the consultation.
Are you affiliated with the hospitals you recommend?
No. We're fee-based, not commission-based. We earn from you, not from the hospital. Our recommendations are based solely on your medical needs and the hospital's quality — never on financial incentives.
What if something goes wrong?
Your chaperone stays in contact 24/7 during your stay. For complications, we coordinate with the hospital's international department, your home embassy if needed, and your home-country doctor. We do not provide medical insurance — bring your own. We do prepare every document needed for an insurance claim afterward.
How much will the actual hospital fees be?
Typical ranges based on Beijing public hospital published fee schedules (2025–2026), paid directly to the hospital:
  • Dental implant (Korean brand): ¥8,000–15,000 RMB (~$1,100–2,060)
  • Premium health checkup (CT + tumor markers): ¥8,000–15,000 RMB (~$1,100–2,060)
  • Cataract surgery (monofocal, per eye): ¥5,000–15,000 RMB (~$680–2,060)
  • LASIK both eyes: ¥12,000–28,000 RMB (~$1,650–3,850)
  • Gallbladder removal (laparoscopic): ¥12,000–30,000 RMB (~$1,650–4,120)
  • Coronary bypass (CABG): ¥110,000–220,000 RMB (~$15,000–30,000)
  • Rhinoplasty: ¥20,000–60,000 RMB (~$2,750–8,200)
  • Knee replacement: ¥55,000–95,000 RMB (~$7,500–13,000)
Note: All prices are estimates based on public hospital published fee schedules. Actual costs depend on your specific diagnosis, procedure complexity, materials used, and treatment plan determined by your doctor. International department/VIP services may add 30–100%. We provide a detailed cost breakdown before you commit to any treatment.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel anytime. Full refund. No questions asked, no processing fee, no guilt-trip. We believe our service should earn your trust — not lock you in.
Why choose China over Thailand, India, or Turkey for medical tourism?
China offers unique advantages:
  • World-class hospitals: Grade-A tertiary public hospitals equipped with the same Da Vinci surgical robots, Zeiss lasers, and Siemens MRI machines found in top Western hospitals.
  • Higher procedure volumes: Chinese surgeons often perform 5-10× more procedures annually than their Western counterparts, leading to greater expertise.
  • Unique TCM integration: Only China offers genuine Traditional Chinese Medicine alongside cutting-edge Western medicine — a powerful combination for recovery and chronic conditions.
  • No GP gatekeeping: See a specialist directly without weeks of referrals. Tests and scans often completed same-day.
  • Safety & infrastructure: Modern airports, high-speed trains, safe cities, and a well-regulated medical system with internationally accredited hospitals.
How do I know I'm not being overcharged as a foreigner?
We provide transparent pricing upfront. Public hospital fees in China are standardized and regulated by the government. We show you the official fee schedule before you commit. Crucially, we don't take commissions or kickbacks from hospitals — we work exclusively for you. If a private clinic quotes a suspicious price, we'll tell you and redirect you to a reputable public hospital.
What about the language barrier in Chinese hospitals?
That's exactly why we exist. Our bilingual chaperones handle all communication — from registration to pharmacy pickup. Additionally, many top-tier hospitals now have international departments with English-speaking staff. Beijing alone has 156 hospitals with foreign-language services and 167 hospitals accepting international cards. You're never alone in the process.
How long do I need to stay in China for treatment?
Typical timelines vary by procedure — many can be split into multiple short trips:
  • Dental implant: crown placement 5–7 days; full implant process 4–8 months (can split into 2 short trips)
  • Cataract surgery: 3–5 days including follow-up
  • LASIK both eyes: 3–5 days; vision stable in 1–2 weeks
  • Health checkup: 1–2 days; report in 5–7 days
  • Gallbladder surgery: day case or 1-night hospital stay; recovery 4–6 weeks (we recommend 1–2 weeks locally)
  • CABG / valve surgery: hospital 5–7 days; allow 6–12 weeks total recovery
  • Rhinoplasty: splint off in 7 days; social recovery ~2 weeks
  • Lung VATS: hospital 3–7 days; recovery 4–8 weeks
  • Knee / hip replacement: hospital 2–5 days; recovery 6–12 weeks
Note: Timelines above are general estimates based on clinical guidelines. Your actual stay depends on your specific diagnosis, procedure complexity, your personal recovery speed, and your doctor's recommendation. We'll give you a personalized timeline during your consultation — many clients split longer treatments into multiple visits.
Can you help with travel arrangements and accommodation?
Yes. Travel support is built into our pricing tiers:
  • Silver ($299/day): Focused on in-hospital chaperone services — travel and accommodation are not included.
  • Gold ($499/day): Adds airport/high-speed train transfer, hotel booking assistance, and visa application support.
  • Platinum ($699/day): Full travel experience — everything in Gold plus custom itinerary planning, wellness program arrangement, and a personal travel companion.
For flights, we can recommend trusted travel partners at any plan level.
What makes Chinese healthcare different from Western systems?
Key differences that benefit international patients:
  • No GP gatekeeping: You see a specialist directly — no multi-week wait for a referral.
  • Same-day diagnostics: Blood tests, CT scans, and MRIs are often completed and reported within hours, not weeks.
  • Integrated TCM + Western medicine: Acupuncture, herbal medicine, and modern pharmacology work together — especially valuable for pain management and recovery.
  • Cost transparency: Standardized government-regulated pricing at public hospitals means no surprise billing.
  • Volume = expertise: Chinese doctors in top hospitals see more rare and complex cases in a month than many Western specialists see in a year.
